I started taking piano lessons after having nagged at my parents for some time that I was bored of playing the violin and desperately wanted to play the piano.
I’ve always liked to play music from different genres besides my classical piano studies in Copenhagen and Stockholm.
But when I was asked to join a salsa band I thought: ”Oh no, I can’t play salsa” but I was immediately told: ”All fantastic salsa pianists started out with studies in classical music”.
I’ve written some film music and currently I work as a piano teacher and as a pianist at ballet classes in Stockholm.
Usually I play classical music at the ballet but at times I surprise everyone by bringing in salsa rhythms and Spanish waltzes here and there during class.
